Virginia (Arredondo) Lira

Virginia Lira, 56, of Granbury, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 in Granbury.

A visitation will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Stephenville Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Life Church at 810 FM 205 Stephenville, Texas.

Virginia was born on October 11, 1966 in Alice, Texas to Olivero and Baudelia Arredondo. She married Hector Lira on August 8, 1982. Virginia earned a Bachelor degree from Ashland University and worked for Erath County Sherriff office for many years. She enjoyed going to Church, attending her church functions and Bible studies. She loved spending time with her kids. Most importantly she loved her grandchildren, she was their biggest fan, and would attend every function or sporting event they had going on.

Survivors include her husband, Hector Lira of Granbury; children, Jessica Jones and husband Scott of Stephenville, Amanda Lira of Stephenville, Lee Lira and wife Maggie of Granbury, and Aundrea Lira of Granbury; grandchildren, Alania, Isaiah, Malachi, Isaac, Aspen, Layla, Mackenzie, Xavier, Carli, Gabriel, Mielee, and Lucas; great-grandchild, Noah; mother, Baudelia Arredondo of Willard, OH; sister, Matilda Arredondo of Granbury.

She was preceded in death by her father, Olivero Arredondo and a sister, Brenda Jordan.
