Tommy was born on December 10, 1935 in Throckmorton, Texas to the late John Floyd Trimble and Lillian Belle West Trimble. He married Wanda Nell Roberson on July 19, 1958 in Hico, Texas. Wanda preceded him in death on November 2, 2001. Tommy married Faye Dutton on January 3, 2004, in Andrews, Texas. Tommy grew up in Woodson, Texas, lived most of his working life in Fort Worth, then retired and moved to Hico with Wanda. After her passing, he remarried and moved to Andrews, before moving to Stephenville in 2017. After attending college at Tarleton College, Howard Payne, and E. Texas State, Tommy graduated and served in the U.S. Air Force for several years. Afterwards he was a meteorologist with the National Weather Service for 25 years. Tommy came to Christ as a young man while growing up in the Baptist Church in Woodson. Through the years he was an active member of various churches, mainly University Baptist Church in Fort Worth, and the First Baptist Churches of Hico and Andrews, where he was an adult Sunday School teacher and a deacon. He was also active in Kairos Prison Ministries in his later years.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Faye Dutton of Andrews; son, John and wife Marisa Trimble of San Antonio; son Wayne and wife Rebecca Trimble of Stephenville; daughter, Mary Messer of Columbia, Maryland; grandchildren, Zachary Trimble, Tiffany and husband Colin Hooper, Victoria Trimble, Tessa Trimble, Travis Trimble, Lillian Messer, Christopher Messer, and Matthew Messer; step children, Randy and wife Tammy Dutton of Carlsbad, New Mexico; Debbie Upton of Andrews, and Diane and husband Mark Johnson of Corpus Christi.
Besides his parents, and wife, Wanda; Tommy was also preceded in death by sisters, Oneita Evans, Modelle Ellis, Mary Edith Peek, and Eula Mae Bludworth; and brothers, John Trimble, and Jim Trimble.
Tommy was an incredibly loving husband, father and grandfather who was loved by everyone who met him. His unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and his love of God and others is an abiding testimony of who God is; and gives us the assurance of his eternal salvation and our ultimate reunion. Until then, he will be greatly missed.
