Till Stone

Raymond ‘Till’ Stone, 93, of Stephenville, died Thursday, May 12, 2022.

Funeral services for Till will be at 10:00 AM Monday, May 16th at Stephenville Funeral Home with Jerry Nance officiating.  Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to services (9:00 AM Monday).

Till was born on February 19, 1929, in Stephenville to the late J. R. ‘Sodie’ and Daisy McNeill Stone.  He attended public school in Stephenville and attended and played basketball for Tarleton State College in 1948.  Till married Berta Ruth Wood, in Stephenville on March 10, 1950.  Berta preceded him in death on August 3, 2018.  Till was a member of Stephenville Masonic Lodge #267, and Scottish Rite.  He was a member of the Graham Street Church of Christ and a life long resident of Stephenville.  Till spent most of his life as a home builder, and a cattle buyer.

Till is survived by his sons, Darrell and his wife Remona Stone of Stephenville, and Randy and his wife Jobey Stone also of Stephenville; grandchildren, Cory Stone, Cami Ferland, Shawn Till Stone, Gunner Stone, Tracy Watkins, and Ricky Watkins; great grandchildren, Cooper, Gracie, Sabrina, Trevor, Luke, Jaxon, Pason, Zoey, and Tillson; and a sister-in-law, Maxine Stone of Fort Worth.

Besides his parents, and wife Berta; Till was also preceded in death by a brother, J. R. Stone, Jr.
