Nancy Lee (Tidwell) Bond

Nancy Bond of Desdemona went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 18, 2022.

Memorial service will be on Wednesday May 25, 2022 at Stephenville Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM before the service.

Nancy was born to Hardie and Dorothy Tidwell on October 6, 1944. She grew up on the family ranch in Desdemona. She was a special lady who lived an interesting life. She moved to California where she was the private secretary to Nancy Reagan when Ronald Reagan was Governor. She was friends with the Reagan’s. When Reagan was elected President she attended the inauguration. After this she moved to East Texas where she sold real estate. Eventually she moved back to the ranch at Desdemona. She received her Bachelors and Masters Degree from Tarleton.  She worked at Tarleton and taught government at Ranger Junior College. She loved riding horses and always kept some at the ranch. She was happiest outside working, tending to her flowers and garden and caring  for her beloved dogs. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them.


She is survived by her brother, Hardy and wife Kaye Tidwell, nephews Trent and wife Lacie Tidwell, Todd and wife Liz Tidwell, Bruce and wife Terry King, Cory and wife Cathy Tidwell, Chad Tidwell, Mike and wife Stephenie King, niece Janea and husband Sergio Escobedo, and Valerie and husband Jeff Morrison; Great nieces, Mikki, Dylan, Kamden, Bryce, Blake,Sydney, Rae, Elizabeth and great nephews, Wade, Josh, Hunter, Connor, Tanner; niece, Valerie Morrison and Husband Jeff; great-niece Bryclynn great-nephew Mason; Special friend Faz; 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hardie and Dorothy Tidwell, brother, Guy Tidwell, and sister, Carol Sue.King
