Miguel Vargas

Miguel Vargas, 88, passed away at his home in Stephenville, Texas, on April 10, 2024. He was
born on September 29, 1935, in Mexico, to Concepcion Vargas and Natalia Cardenas Vargas.
He married Catalina Barron and they made their home in Stephenville since 1973, where they
raised a large family, and Miguel worked hard as a dairyman. Miguel attended Saint Brendan’s
Catholic Church.
Miguel is survived by his wife, Catalina Vargas, his children; Estella Patlan and her husband,
Jesse, Isidro Vargas and his wife, Teresa, Alicia Trejo, Gloria Montoya and her husband,
Santiago, Felix Vargas and his wife, Juanita, Guadalupe Ramos and her husband, Gabriel,
Martin Vargas, Julian Vargas, Marciela Vargas, and Ana Vargas-Djoke and her husband, Herve.
He also leaves behind a very impressive amount of 28 grandchildren and 34 great-
grandchildren, his nephew, Sacramentó Barron and his wife, Maria, as well as his sister, Elena
Vargas of Mexico City.
Miguel is preceded in death by both of his parents as well as one daughter, Alicia Vargas.

A service for Miguel will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Brendan’s
with Father Mathew Sanka officiating. A graveside service at West End Cemetery in
Stephenville will follow the service. A Rosary will be on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. at
Stephenville Funeral Home.

Nació el 29 de septiembre de 1935 en México, hijo de Concepción Vargas y Natalia Cárdenas
Vargas. Se casó con Catalina Barrón y establecieron su hogar en Stephenville desde 1973,
donde formaron una familia numerosa y Miguel trabajó duro como lechero. Miguel asistió a la
iglesia católica de San Brendan.
A Miguel le sobreviven su esposa, Catalina Vargas, sus hijos; Estella Patlan y su esposo Jesse,
Isidro Vargas y su esposa Teresa, Gloria Montoya y su esposo Santiago, Félix Vargas y su
esposa Juanita, Guadalupe Ramos y su esposo Gabriel, Martín Vargas, Julián Vargas, Marciela
Vargas y Ana Vargas-Djoke y su marido, Hervé. También deja atrás una cantidad impresionante
de 28 nietos y 34 bisnietos, su sobrino, Sacramentó Barron y su esposa, María, así como su
hermana, Elena Vargas de la Ciudad de México.
A Miguel le precedieron en la muerte sus dos padres y una hija, Alicia Vargas.
Se llevará a cabo un servicio para Miguel el sábado 13 de abril de 2024 a las 10:00 a.m. en
Saint Brendan's con el padre Mathew Sanka oficiando. Después del servicio se realizará un
servicio junto a la tumba en el cementerio West End en Stephenville. Un Rosario será el viernes
12 de abril de 2024, a las 19:00 horas. en Stephenville Funeral Home.
