Michael Scott Hallford

November 16, 1970—December 30, 2020

 

Michael Scott Hallford, age 50, of Stephenville, passed away December 30, 2020, from complications following spinal fusion surgery.

Michael was born November 16, 1970 in McCamey, Texas. He attended elementary school in Rankin before moving to Mineral Wells in 1979; he graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1989.

Michael proudly served in the United States Army Reserve and National Guard from 1988-2001. He graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems in 2001 and a Master of Business Administration in 2006. He worked in the oil and gas industry for over 25 years before making successful strides into the insurance business.

Michael was a member of Harvey Baptist Church. He loved God, his family and his country with his whole heart. He enjoyed skiing at Red River, fishing and boating, target shooting, cars, roller coasters, chocolate ice cream and Sonic Diet Cokes.

Michael is survived by his wife Lani Hightower Hallford; sons Miles Scott Hallford and Dylan Fairchild; daughter, Tori Reeves and husband Landon Reeves and grandbaby Henslee Ann; parents, Mike and Brenda Hallford; mother-in-law, Debbie Hightower; grandfather, Baker Hallford; sister, Mindy Holland; sister-in-law, Laura Jones and husband Cassey Jones; nephews, Evans Holland and Braxton Jones; and niece Bella Jones.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Michael’s honor in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to Harvey Baptist Church in Stephenville (254-965-4368) or the Wounded Warrior Project (855-448-3997).
