Martha Nell Northcutt, a beloved resident of Stephenville, Texas, passed away at the age of 97, peacefully in her home on Saturday, February 10, 2024. She was born on February 11, 1927, in Sipe Springs, Comanche County, Texas, to Francis Marion and Lillie Delk Vines.

Martha Nell was a devoted Christian and an active member of Victory Baptist Church as well as a founding member of East Side Baptist Church, and a member of Proctor Baptist Church, where she found great joy in her faith and community. Martha Nell loved Jesus Christ with all her heart and soul. Martha Nell and Weldon embarked on a journey of love and companionship. Their marriage was a testament to love, commitment, and partnership. Together, they built a beautiful life full of cherished memories and deep love that would last a lifetime.

Martha Nell made her home in Comanche County for most of her life where she dedicated herself to being a devoted farmer’s wife. After Weldon’s return from serving in the Army Airforce in 1945, they settled down and built a life filled with hard work and love. Martha Nell’s artistic talent shone brightly as she created numerous magnificent paintings throughout her life. Her creativity knew no bounds, and she poured her heart and soul into each brushstroke. Meanwhile Weldon, her loving husband, complimented her artistic pursuits by crafting exquisite frames for her paintings. A true perfectionist, Weldon’s attention to detail ensured that each frame perfectly enhanced Martha’s artwork.

Together, they formed a harmonious partnership where their individual talents merged, resulting in a collection of truly remarkable pieces of art.
