Martha Faye (Johnson) Vinson

Martha Faye Vinson, 78, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

Graveside services for Martha will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 11th at Erath Gardens of Memory, with Hal Needham officiating.  Visitation with Martha’s family will be Sunday, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Martha was born on October 31, 1943 in Stephenville, to the late Elmer and Alma Mae Brown Johnson.  She attended public school in Stephenville, and graduated from Stephenville High School, class of 1961. Martha married Larry Dumas, and on February 21, 1996, Martha married the love of her life, in Stephenville, Joe Wade Vinson.  Joe preceded her in death on November 2, 2004.  Martha was a member of the Baptist Church, and a lifelong resident of Stephenville.  She loved to be with her family, and loved to take vacations with them.  She enjoyed being with her grandchildren.  Martha was a homemaker.

Martha is survived by her sons, Darrell and Jo Jo Dumas of Fort Worth, Terry and Trish Dumas of Stephenville; grandchildren, Shelbie, Dalton, Ashleigh, Morgan, and Madison; great grandchildren, Hayden, McKenzie, Sybil, Jett, Rex, and Levi; her sisters, Frances Johnson, Sherrie Johnson Miller, and Emma Wisnieski; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, and her husband, Joe; Martha was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Dumas in 1989; and a brother, Ralph Johnson
