James (Jimmy) Orville Jeffcoat

December 4, 1945 ~ May 11, 2022

 

James (Jimmy) Orville Jeffcoat, 76, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Harris Hospital Southwest in Fort Worth with his sister-in-law, sherry and niece, Carley, holding his hands as he was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Lou “Little” Jeffcoat and his parents Leland and Lois Jeffcoat.

He is survived by his brother-in-law, James W. Amyx and Sherry Sue Little Amyx; Brother-in-law, Kenneth Allen Little; Nephew, Chad Allen Bullard; nieces, Carley Sue Amyx Marsteller, Krista Ann Little, Jennalee Ann Little; Nephews, Justin Kyle Amyx, James Kevin Amyx. As well as cousins and friends.

Jimmy was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on December 4, 1945. He attended North Side High School. He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation as a dispatcher after twenty-five years. He worked for the Sheriff’s Department and also did security work.

Jimmy loved to deer hunt and was an avid gun collector. He once shot and eld 7x7 score 380 Boone & Crockett. He said—after shooting it—he was known as “one shot/one kill.” Jimmy had a wonderful sese of humor.

Jimmy lived at the Courtyards of Lake Granbury for eleven years. Due to his kind heart and witty personality, he was always a favorite of the staff there. Jimmy was loved by many. He never had an unkind word to say about anyone. He never failed to say “thank you” to anyone who did anything for him. He was generous to a fault. He will be greatly messed.

Jimmy’s final resting place will be at the Johnsonville Cemetery next to his wife, Terry. He has waited twenty-two years to finally be with her in Heaven.
