Harold Zink Obituary

Harold J. Zink age 93, of Gorman passed away on September 7, 2022 at the Stephenville Nursing Home. Harold was born in Lakeview, Texas on March 7, 1929 to Oscar Zink and Dovie (Sanders) Zink.

He moved to Gorman in 1965 and was a member of the First Baptist Church Gorman. He was an avid motorcyclist, hunter, and fisherman and absolutely loved the outdoors. He loved life and hated weeds, so much so that he would carry a hoe around with him wherever he went. Harold enjoyed yard work and his yard was his pride and joy. He liked a good laugh at anyone’s expense including his own. Harold worked as the chief shop foreman for Birdsong peanuts for 18 years and he was an excellent blacksmith.

Harold is survived by his wife Darlivon Zink; sons, Ronnie Harold Zink and wife Debbie of Bangs, Stephen Zink and wife Diana of Albuquerque, Eddie Zink and wife Diane of Brownwood, Robert Lewis and wife Charisse of Gorman; daughters, Louise Riley, Rosie Tubbs, Donna and husband John Isensee of Stephenville; daughters in law Shirley Lewis of Hamilton, Sue Lewis of Bridgeport; brother Vernon Zink and wife Claudia of Oklahoma; sister, Lenora and husband George Kinder of Oklahoma; nineteen grandkids, thirty eight great-grandkids and two great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sons Michael and Clifford Lewis and one great-grandchild Willow Shepard.
