Bobbie Joan (Moon) Griffin

Bobbie Joan Griffin, age 85, of Stephenville, Texas, passed away on October 6, 2021.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 9th at West End Cemetery, with Dale Pugh officiating.  Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Bobbie was born to the late Willis Moon and Estelline Hamilton Moon in Huckabay, Texas on August 6, 1936. She married Leon Griffin on June 26, 1954 in Stephenville, and together they raised two daughters. She worked diligently as a loving mother and homemaker. Bobbie was also a member of the Huckabay Baptist Church.

Bobbie is survived by husband of 67 years, Leon Griffin of Stephenville; daughters, Linda Carpenter and husband Russell of Stephenville, and Connie Long of Huckabay; brother, Willis Moon and wife Jean of Stephenville; grandchildren, Dustin Long of Huckabay, Blade Long and wife Yvonne of Panhandle, Texas, Jade Carpenter of Mississippi, Chase Carpenter and wife Jodi of Stephenville, Cameryn Carpenter of Grand Prairie, and James Carpenter and wife Kenzie of Stephenville; great-grandchildren, Jesi Carpenter, Kale Carpenter, Korbin Carpenter, Kaylor Carpenter, and Kallyn Carpenter of Stephenville.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Louise Alexander; and Willa Mulloy; and a grandson, Doug Long.
