Vicki Little Oakes

Vicki Little Oakes was born in Yorktown, Texas on January 30, 1954. Her parents were Ruby Brown Little and J T Little. Vicki was the youngest and had four brothers James Wesley Little, Charles Wayne Little and Alton Ray Little and J. M. Little.

She attended elementary school in Johnsville, Texas and attended Stephenville High School and graduated with honors in 1972 and served as President of the Honor Society.

She attended Tarleton University in Stephenville.

Her career as a warranty administrator began at Bruner Chevrolet and continued in Granbury Texas at Durant Chevrolet and Classic Chevrolet. She was gifted with organization and loved her work.

Vicki was blessed with 2 sons Michael L Garrett and wife Daniela; and Matthew L Garrett, and later married Coy Oakes on January 14, 2000 and was blessed with another son and daughter, Bryan Oakes and Jennifer Hill. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and surviving brother, J. M. Little.

She loved gatherings with family and friends and cookouts were her favorite and she very much enjoyed country music. Vicki surely enjoyed vacations, and any type of travel and joyfully attended holiday gatherings and was loved and adored by so many. She will surely be missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

The Oakes family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.

Memorial services for Vicki will be at 2:00 PM Monday, June 23rd, at Stephenville Funeral Home with Gary Williams officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, June 22nd at Stephenville Funeral Home.
