Steven Wood, of Bluff Dale, Texas, passed away on April 8, 2026 at the age of 58. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 10:30 AM; Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel in Stephenville, Texas with Mike Fritscher officiating.
Steven was born to George Wood and Lois Wood on June 21, 1967 in Riverside, California. He graduated from Palmer High School in Palmer, Texas and later married Tanya Lu Wadlington in Bluff Dale, Texas on June 27, 2009. They built a life centered around love, laughter, and most importantly music. Steven was a kind and caring man who made others feel valued and understood. He had a diverse career background including service as a paramedic, working in the oil and gas industry, becoming a dedicated business owner, and following his love for music as a country recording artist. A talented musician and performer, Steven had a deep passion for music. Whether he was playing, performing, or simply enjoying his favorite songs, he had a mind and a heart for music. He also loved the outdoors and treasured the time he spent with family and friends. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a wonderful grandfather and an amazing brother and son.
Steven is survived by his loving wife, Tanya Wood; son, Bradley Evan Wood; mother, Lois Wood; sister, Laura Wood; grandchildren, Arianna Rosati-Floyd, Briar Floyd, Gracie Lu Dent, Harley Dent, Dylan Stowe, and Colton Stowe; and nieces, Emma Farrell and Tandie Broussard. He was preceded in death by his father, George Wood. Steven will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, his talent, and the music and love he shared so freely. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
