It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Sam M Wall, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who passed away on Thursday, March 19, at the age of 89.
He was born on February 16, 1937, in Hamilton to Mack Walter Wall and J. Daphene Wall. From those early beginnings, he grew into a man of strong character, dedication, and purpose.
He was married to his beloved wife, Jolene Henson Wall (Jody), for 62 years until her passing in 2024. He is survived by his two daughters GayLynn Sheets and Leann Teakell (Robb). Together they built a life centered on family, love, and shared experiences.
He devoted much of his life to education, serving as a school administrator in Ector County I.S.D. where he made a lasting impact on countless students, teachers, and families. In his professional role, he was known for being serious, disciplined, and committed to excellence, earning the respect of all who worked with him. He especially enjoyed his time at Permian High School.
After retirement, he and Jolene embraced a more relaxed and joyful chapter of life. They became fun-loving, easygoing, and full of happiness, especially during the many years they spent traveling the country in their RV. These adventures brought him great joy and created cherished memories with his loved ones.
He is also survived by his sister, Jean McCullough, his grandchildren, Mason McKay (Maddie), Macie Sheets, Cameron Cole (Ally), and Connor Cole; and his great-grandchildren, Asher McKay, Blakely McKay, and Bennett Cole, all of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.
Services will be held at Erath Garden of Memories Cemetery on Saturday, April 11th at 10:30 a.m. He will be remembered for both his strong leadership and the warmth and joy he shared in his later years. His life was one of dedication, growth, and love, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
