Sally Pringle Ratliff

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sally Carolyn Pringle Ratliff, who left us on February 4, 2026, in Stephenville, TX at the age of 89.

Sally was born on August 19,1936 in Wheaton, Missouri. She was the beloved daughter of Harry and Nona Talbert. She attended school and graduated from Carl Junction School in Missouri. Her college career included a bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX and she earned her master’s degree from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. The majority of her 30 years of teaching was dedicated to teaching first grade for 19 years at Lingleville School. She also taught in Marlin and Clarksville for 11 years, and she substituted another 16 years. She touched countless numbers in her classrooms, and she will always be remembered as an incredible teacher. Sally was very active in church, especially at Graham Street Church of Christ in Stephenville.

Sally is survived by her husband and closest friend of 19 years, Delbert Ratliff. She is survived by her 3 children and their spouses, Tricia & Glen Gary of Ardmore, Billy & Sheri Pringle of Georgetown, and Richard & Cayce Pringle of Comanche. She is survived by 6 beautiful grandchildren – Lauren Gay & husband Jeremy, Landon Gary & wife Kaylyn, Jordan Gary & wife Kaleigh, Jonathan Pringle & wife D’Nai, Brady Pringle and Kayla Pringle. Great-grandchildren Jackson, Weston & Hunter Gay, Brady Caye & Declan Gary, and Carson & Cameron Gary. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Rebecca Wiese and husband David, and son-in-law Randy Ratliff & wife Jaimie. Sally also had many step grandchildren including Hayden & Cade Hill, Rhett Hansen, Roan & Raney Pratt, Jadon & Avery Johnson, Tyler & Colby Wiese, Brent, Jessica, Josey & Max Perry, Michael & Braydon Ratliff, and Erin Ratliff. Sally was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Nona Talbert, brother Bob Talbert, sister Ann Reese, and sister Lynda Campbell. She had numerous other cousins and loved ones whom she leaves behind.

“MeeMaw” loved every chance she could get to see her family! She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with a passion unmatched by anyone else. She always looked for an opportunity to visit and stay involved in all of their lives.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lingleville School Library or Graham Street Church of Christ in memory of Sally Pringle Ratliff.

If there was anyone who had a ticket to heaven, it’s our beloved mother and “MeeMaw”, Sally Ratliff. She was known by everyone for her unwavering kindness, boundless compassion, and selfless devotion to her family and friends. Sally’s presence was a blessing to all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and generosity that will forever inspire those whose lives she touched.
