Leonard Hill, 83, of Stephenville, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026 in Stephenville.

Funeral services for Leonard will be at 10:00 AM Monday, July 13, 2026, at Stephenville Funeral

Home, with Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Nancy Smith Cemetery near Glen

Rose. Visitation with the Hill family will begin at 9:00 AM Monday, one hour prior to services.

Leonard was born on October 22, 1942, in Stephenville, to the late Elmer Clyde, Sr. and

Savannah Mae Brooks Hill. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann McCoy, on June 17, 1967.

He attended public school in Stephenville, and he spent many years in construction as a painter.

He was a member of Cowboy Church of Erath County, and a lifelong resident of Stephenville.

Leonard loved to relax by drinking his beer, but most of all his passion in life was music, playing

in a band.

Leonard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Ann; daughter, Sheila Chew; granddaughter,

Paige and husband Preston Mata; grandson, Austin and wife Jessica Rudloff; five great

grandchildren; four sisters; two brothers, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Besides his parents, Leonard was also preceded in death by a son, three brothers, and two

sisters.
