Jimmy Lynn Rodgers, 70, of Dublin, TX, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at home surrounded by family.
Born on June 18, 1955 in Brady, TX to George and Catherine Rodgers. Jimmy lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and a deep love for the people around him. He began his career as a rancher, where his strong work ethic and connection to the land were evident in everything he did. Later in life, he built a successful career as a welder, earning the respect and friendship of many through his craftsmanship and dedication.
Jimmy was known for his kindness, outgoing spirit, and genuine care for others. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone, often leaving them smiling. He had a big heart and was always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.
In his free time, Jimmy loved being outdoors — fishing, hunting, and taking road trips. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family. Those moments, full of laughter and stories, were among his greatest joys.
He is survived by his two daughters, Skye (Kyle) Wedgeworth and Sierra (Travis) Rodgers, two sisters Dianne (Glennon) Mays and Linda (Carl) Morris, and by many friends and loved ones who will miss his warmth, humor, and steady presence.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm at Bosque River Taphouse - 320 South Harbin Dr., Stephenville, TX 76401. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org), in honor of Jimmy’s generous spirit.
