Doyce Gene Mitchell

Doyce Gene Mitchell, 55, of Stephenville, passed away Monday January 19, 2009 in Granbury. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. Doyce was born on September 30, 1953 in Big Spring, Texas to the late Robert and Eva McNeese Mitchell. He married Christine Cypert on October 28, 1989 in Bluff Dale, Texas. Doyce previously worked for Tarleton State University as the Housing Maintenance Supervisor. He has resided in Stephenville since 1984 after previously living in Big Spring. Doyce is survived by his wife Christine of Stephenville; sister, Robbie Landrum and husband David of Arizona; brother, Ronnie Barber of La Port, Texas; niece, Tiffany Walder of Hull; nephew, Ryan Barber of Stephenville, Shannon Landrum, and Jerry Huckabee; great-nephew, William Patrick Walder; father-in-law, Kenneth Cypert of Stephenville; and sister-in-law, Lisa Cypert of Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents.
