Dorothy Greenhaw, Granny Gart, as she was known by almost everyone who ever knew her, passed peacefully from this life here on earth on her way to heaven to be reunited with friends and loved ones on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Born in Desdemona on March 1, 1927, where she lived her entire life, she was raised by her loving mother, Sallie Huffman. She was her mother’s youngest child and was a sister to Faye Walls, R. D. Anderson, E. L. Anderson, Bud Anderson, and Raymond Anderson, all of whom preceded her in death. After graduating from Desdemona High School, she married B. J. Greenhaw who preceded her in death after 60 years of marriage.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Allen of Lake Leon; a son, Morris Greenhaw of Desdemona; a grandson, Brandon Greenhaw of Stephenville; great grandsons, Evan and Marcus Greenhaw of Stephenville; a granddaughter, Diana Greenhaw of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was a member of the Desdemona Church of Christ. Family and Friends of Dorothy, may go by Stephenville Funeral Home and register between the hours of 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM, beginning Wednesday, June 25th until Friday, June 27th.
