DoraLee Christie

DoraLee Christie, 82, passed away on September 20, 2025, in Whitney, Texas. She was born on July 17, 1943 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Lonzo Vowell and Ellen Jenkins. She married John Christie in November of 1996 in Dublin, TX and he preceded her in death in October 2014. She worked many years as a custodian and at the nursing home, as well.

DoraLee is survived by her sisters, Janice Branscum of Kingsland TX and Lois Jean Bradshaw of Hillsboro, OR; nephews, Stanley Branscum and wife Sherry of Whitney, TX and Randal Branscum and wife Inez of Kingsland, TX; many nephews & nieces; and many great and great great nephews & nieces.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Cody Jones officiating at Johnson Cemetery, just south of Stephenville, Texas.
