Dessa Faye Putty Shaw

Dessa Faye Putty Shaw, 98 of Stephenville passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Memorial services for Dessa will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Valley Grove Baptist Church with Rob Gleason and Marvin ‘Happy’ Toler officiating.

Dessa was born on March 29, 1938, in Desdemona, Texas to the late Durant and Vallie Mae Robinson Putty. She spent several years of her life in the Banking business in Dallas. Dessa loved to be with her family, and enjoyed life having fun. She was a care giver to many children,and adults. Dessa was always dressed to the ‘nines’. She was a member of the Valley Grove Baptist Church, and has lived many years in Stephenville.

Dessa is survived by her son, Larry Shaw, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Dessa was also preceded in death by three sisters, Billie Williams, Mary Stafford, and Neita Vaught; and by a brother, Jackie Putty.
