David Henry Vaughn

David passed away July 30, 2026 in Fort Worth, Tx surrounded by family.

David was a devoted husband, father, and pawpaw.

David had a big heart, a quick smile; and a love for the Lord, his family, the mountains of Colorado and by the waters of Port Aransas.

David is survived by his wife, Alta; daughter Mariah Byars (Emory); son Tanner; grandchildren Kellan & Merrick Byars; Jason & Kristin Cashon and their children Will, Maddie, Kenna, Alex and Ben.

A memorial service will be held for David on October 17, 2026, Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Cowboy Church of Erath County with Werth Mayes officiating.
