It is with Deep sorrow and profound gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of David Wayne Bragg, a devoted family man, respected businessman, and pillar for our community.
Known for his grumpy face and soft-spoken manner, David was a man of steady strength and unwavering principal. Though he didn’t seek the spotlight, his actions spoke volumes. He believed in hard work, integrity, and lending a hand whenever needed. All that knew him knew that behind his serious expression was a generous heart and a deep well of compassion.
David made it his life’s mission to invest in the future generations. He worked tirelessly to support local youth groups and encouraged a love for livestock and hunting, and the values that come with them-responsibility, patience, and love of the land. He proudly supported and served the Erath County Livestock Association. Whether at the show barn, the sale ring, or standing along the fence line offering quiet advice, he encouraged young people to take pride in honest work and responsibility.
Master electrician & owner of Stephenville City Electric, Inc. and partner of S'Ville Services, LLC, David took care of his employees as if they were his own family. He valued respect, integrity, perseverance, and humility. He acted with a quiet compassion that showed in private acts of kindness, and a heart that never kept score.
His legacy lives on not only in the business he built or the charities he supported, but in the character, he instilled the standards he set, and the love he gave so freely.
David is survived by his beloved daughter Jamie Jones, his favorite grandson Jaylon Jones, his best four-legged friend BooBoo, brothers: Weldon Bragg (Carla) of Comanche and Jon Bragg of Stephenville, nieces and nephews: Kayla Parrish (Clay) of Abilene, Shauna Apolinar (Alex) of Aledo, Brandy Bragg of Stephenville, Chance Bragg (Marla) of Stephenville, great nieces and nephews: Cason, Kinslee, Aubrey, Jace, Reagan, Jordan, Cooper, Caroline, and Karsyn, Aunt: Sharon Clark of Comanche, and Uncle: Gary Bragg of Comanche. As well as a vast extended family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing the strength of his handshake and depth of his heart.
He was proceeded in death by: daughter Jori Bragg, parents James and Regina Bragg, aunt Linda Bragg, uncles James Adcock, Dwain Adcock, and grandparents Leonard & Ione Bragg and Herbert & Neva Adcock of Gustine.
Though his presence will be desperately missed, the lessons he taught will forever be a guiding light.
May he rest in peace - his work complete, his heart forever remembered.
