Bobby Shutter

Bobby Shutter, 71, of Stephenville, died Monday, April 19, 2010 in Stephenville. Graveside services will be held at 5:00 PM, Tuesday, at East Memorial Cemetery with Joey Colvin, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Bobby was born June 15, 1938 in Erath County to Robert Lee and Bennie Shutter. He married Dorthy Sparks, April 29, 1961 in Erath County. Bobby served in the U. S. Army, and was a Baptist. He moved back to Erath County in 1989 after living several years in LaPorte. He retired after 23 years with Texas Department of Transportation, and was later employed at Great Southern Ranch and Dairy. Bobby is survived by his wife, Dorthy; mother, Inez Shutter of Fort Worth; brothers, Jimmy Shutter, Keith Shutter, and Scotty Shutter; sister, Carol Ann Harrison of Ada, Oklahoma; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna. Memorials may be made in the form of donations to the American Diabetes Assn.
