Alinda Keener

Alinda Thompson Keener, age 67, went to be with The Lord on January 25, 2025. 

She was born on October 15, 1957 to Audie and Martha Thompson in Jack County, Texas. She was Baptized at the First Baptist Church in Perrin on March 14, 1970.

The oldest of three sisters, Alinda enjoyed her childhood on a farm outside of Oran, TX. Her fond memories in childhood came from learning to hunt with her father and fish for crawdad with her mother. She loved days playing outside with her two sisters using their imagination and playing make-believe. Together, along with her family, she loved water skiing and she continued that hobby into her adult life. She attended Perrin Schools with her group of friends from elementary all the way through graduation with her Class of 76. During her high school years she competed at a high level, making it to State numerous years in track and went on to play basketball at Weatherford College on a scholarship.

Alinda enjoyed her career working in the oil and gas industry over a span of decades. She always enjoyed taking on new responsibilities and tackling challenges at the office. She was a proud mother and loving grandmother known as “Nana” by her five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by daughters, Sherri-Jo Stowell and husband Dennis and Shalee Adkins and husband Austin; Sisters Jo Geer and her husband Greg, and Sherri Montgomery and her husband Doug; grandchildren Graham Stowell, Cora Stowell, Avery Adkins, Hallie Adkins and Aiden Adkins; her Aunt Marion as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family she loved.

 The family will honor Alinda’s life with a service that will be held at a later date, details to be announced.
