Wayne Newton Qualls
December 25, 1938 – December 11, 2019

Wayne Newton Qualls, 80, of Stephenville and formerly of O Brien, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Rochester Cemetery in Rochester, Texas. A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Saturday at the Stephenville Funeral Home.

Wayne was born on December 25, 1938 to the late Dennis and Ophelia Qualls. He attended Tarleton State and Texas Tech where he earned a Bachelor Degree. Wayne was a farmer and loved horses working also as a horse trainer and cowboy. He was known by all as someone who was always willing to help anyone who needed help. Wayne was a member of the first Baptist church and has resided in Stephenville for the past 3 years after living all his life in O'Brien.

Survivors include his sister, Joan Wright and husband Wayland of Stephenville; nephews, Richard Kyle Wright and Anita, Roderick Kelly Wright and Richele, Randall Keith Wright and Lori, and Russell Kory Wright and Michelle; niece, Tonya Michelle Casey and Tim; and many great-nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Ophelia Qualls; and a niece, Dana Denise Dowell.
