I have loved this woman most of my life.. She is a wonderful person to everyone.. as a grown up, I lived in Stephenville when this couple bought the house next door to us. I didn't know who it was because I worked days and she was not around much in the evening. Then this crazy neighbor of ours decided to paint her house Purple, pink, green and you name it she painted it those colors!! I loved the color, so one Saturday while the painting was being done, I happen to see her outside. So I went over to introduce myself and when she turned around, low and behold.. it was Lillie Mae!!! I was so excited to see her as I had not seen her in years. We talked for hours, she invited me in to show me the colors of the inside of the house. She had a Blue room, a Purple room, A Green room, you get the picture. It was beautiful!! I helped her plant her garden(as it was in my back yard) well her yard but behind mine.. LOL.. I spent most of my evenings and weekends next door visiting her and learning the new things she had to teach me. Oh.. and tending the garden until the ants attacked her.. she kept on working while I went into the house to get her something to relieve the pain of the stings.. Good times.. I sure did miss her when we moved to our new house after spending three years living next door to her. I would go by and see her from time to time.. then our jobs took us out of state and we lost touch. Oh the memories... She always said "There you are little "Helen" (my mom is Helen Gaines) hence the nick name.. LOL.. I love you Lillie Mae and you will be missed greatly!!
