I still don’t know if I even have words to process how losing you feels. But I know that I have never been more proud to be your granddaughter than after seeing how hard you fought, how much you did for Granny to make sure she was okay when you went, and how you held on to my hand until near the end. Ever since I was little, you’ve always been the one I looked to for a laugh, the best way to cook something, and a constant in my life. About a month ago, you told me you were proud of me and what I had accomplished and I’ve never felt more like I did something right. I love you and know you’re always with me and watching over me. I am forever grateful to have you as my Papa.

You were a fighter through all of this. When my daddy past away you told me you would always be there for me and you were. You will be missed. I am attaching something that I read and I thought of you and I’m going to try and live by it. I already miss you.
