S tephenville Funeral Home was founded in the late 1800's on the south side of the square in downtown Stephenville and was originally called Higginbotham Funeral Home. The name was changed to Stephenville Funeral Home in 1945.

Ewell Jones, long time manager at Stephenville Funeral Home, came to Higginbotham Funeral Home in 1938 to fill in for two weeks and stayed for fifty two years until he passed away in 1990. He led the funeral home through many changes including it's move in 1968 to our present location at 120 S. Loop. We consider it an honor to have earned your trust through the many years that we have served Stephenville and we will strive to continue earning your trust for the years to come
